The G.O. Group is a management consulting firm formed out of a desire to help people see and experience their world differently and assist organizations in changing their current performance on multiple levels.

Together, Len McMillan and Michelle Morrissey have over 70 years of business experience and strive to be a catalyst in maximizing human and organizational performance by offering services including executive coaching, personal assessments, strategic corporate support, and keynote and motivational speaking engagements.

The Birkman Method®

The G.O. Group maintains certification in The Birkman Method®, using the assessment tool to assist in the understanding and enhancement of individual competencies, knowledge, efficiencies and skills found within teams and organizations and ultimately discover and achieve their maximum potential.

The Birkman Method® assesses and identifies usual behaviours, underlying motivations, expectations, the signs of stress behaviour, personal interests and job preferences. We use the information we gather in our assessment to provide innovative, creative and proven solutions to challenges in life and the workplace.

The Birkman Method® focuses on five perspectives:

  1. The effective behavioural style of dealing with relationships and tasks;
  2. The expectations of how relationships and social situations should be governed in the context of the relationship or situation;
  3. The ineffective styles of dealing with relationships or tasks and behaviour observed when underlying needs or expectations are not met (stress behaviour);
  4. The expressed preference for job titles based on the assumption of equal economic rewards;
and
  5. The perspective in which an individual views problems and solutions relating to organizational goals.
